Monday Morning Mix: Love is Blindness

Although we don’t need any assistance getting into the Halloween spirit, the foggy weather lately has definitely helped set the tone for this week’s festivities. We’re going dark this year, real dark; and in honor of one of our favorite holidays and musicians we dreamed up this mystical, magical, moon-beam, black and white filled wedding inspiration aptly titled Love is Blindness. We’re seeing this wedding with overgrown blooms and fruits dangling off the vines, celestial decor, headpieces with enveloping veils, pounds on pounds of antique lace, and a bevy of bottles adorned with old fashion labels. But seriously how cool would it be to have a tarot card reader at your wedding!?

Having a ball with Bouts!

These days weddings are all about standing out, going against the grain, and pushing the envelope. One way to keep with tradition while standing out from the crowd of wedding guests is a lively Boutonniere. The perfect finishing touch to the quintessential wedding suite is a stunning poise pinned perfectly to your lapel. Bridal parties these days are getting a treat with a wide verity of funky and fun boutonniere’s rather than our parents boring old spray rose and babies breath. Below are some of our favorite out of the box bout beauties.
Bouts can still be soft and subtle while still standing out, you can do so by choosing a funky structured flower in a muted color palette. Or pairing a fluffy white ranunculus with some interesting greenery.

Nat bout

If your more into a natural look with a bit more of a masculine feel than dessert flowers are probably the bout for you. Succulents and cactus are some of the bests ways to create this look with a fun textured style.

Lastly a little pop of color never hurt any attire, pair a solid colored suite with a fun pop of red, pink, yellow, or orange and everyones eyes will be on you for the best dressed gent in the room.

The Big Day: Kelsey & Stephen

With wedding season in full gear, we unfortunately got just a tad bit behind on our Big Day posts. That being said, this past weekend’s wedding was one that could not be missed! The beyond darling couple, Kelsey & Stephen, were married on Saturday in a sweet ceremony in Rancho Santa Fe, with the reception and party following just a few more windy turns down the road. The stunning couple wanted to create a romantic springtime affair for all of their friends and family to enjoy. As you can see below that’s just what we did with this dreamy peach, mint, and cream color palette that is soft, simple, and sophisticated.

Fortunately for us we got to work along some of our most favorite vendors! No party can begin without the perfect “location, location, location.” Well, this wedding definitely wasn’t lacking in that department with the amazing Santaluz Club as the backdrop. Of course to beautify the stunning draped tent we had to enlist the lovely and talented ladies of Root75 to help make this board a reality. We also would never be able to share with you all the day’s events, decor, couple, and family without the remarkable photography work of the husband and wife duo Chadwick and Jenika of Studio Castillero. And last, but certainly not least, the affair would not have also been a non-stop dance party, if it wasn’t for the amazing DJ team of Injoy entertainment who supplied tons of fun and tunes. Thank you to everyone who made this amazing couple’s wedding a dream come true!

– Someone who is just as completely obsessed with all things weddings as we are! Is eager to learn about the wedding and event industry to gain experience.

– Responsible, driven, and detail-oriented. We are planning the most important day of our couples’ lives and we take that very seriously. We know you will too.

– Have a ton of creativity (color outside the lines & think outside the box) and a deep, deep love of crafting.

– Previous experience in the wedding world is a bonus, but not necessary.

Found My Girl – Son of Sharkpig

Well, we’re still a little pooped from Sunday’s CREAM EVENT but we had a BLAST! Pretty sure we spotted these two lovely newlyweds, as well as, the one, the only, Son of Sharkpig himself at The Cream. Just watching this video makes us smile and feel all warm and tingly inside. How fun would it have been to be a guest at this wedding!?!? Looks like Christian & Reinna had a gorgeous celebration and Son of Sharkpig of course did an excellent job capturing every big moment and little detail! Can’t wait to work with him in just a few short months for A&T’s wedding!!
