Snapshot Love: Ruth & Michael

Happy Monday Beaus! Thought we’d start off the week with some sunshine-filled cuteness courtesy of Ryan and Heidi Photography and our sweet, sweet couple, Ruth & Michael.  Seriously, some of our absolute favorite engagements. We think each and every single one of them is just so dreamy.

Working with these two sweethearts has been such a blast and we’re excited we get to keep planning with them for their July wedding at Ponte Winery! Such sweet things in the works for this lovely couple!

Monday Morning Mix: Love is Blindness

Although we don’t need any assistance getting into the Halloween spirit, the foggy weather lately has definitely helped set the tone for this week’s festivities. We’re going dark this year, real dark; and in honor of one of our favorite holidays and musicians we dreamed up this mystical, magical, moon-beam, black and white filled wedding inspiration aptly titled Love is Blindness. We’re seeing this wedding with overgrown blooms and fruits dangling off the vines, celestial decor, headpieces with enveloping veils, pounds on pounds of antique lace, and a bevy of  bottles adorned with old fashion labels.  But seriously how cool would it be to have a tarot card reader at your wedding!?

Monday Morning Mix: Pumpkin Spice & Golden Light

October is well under way and we’re excited to be putting our pumpkins out. One of our favorite things about Fall is of course the return of Pumpkin Spice Lattes, but what we really enjoy most is the crisp air and golden light that sets this season apart from all others. We can’t complain about Fall in Southern California- it really is as good as gold.

So it’s no surprise that we have our fair share of weddings this year (and already booked up for next October too!), but what we really wanna know is if anyone is incorporating Fall decor (pumpkins, leaves, wheat, etc.) into their big day!? Tell us what your favorite part of Fall is!

Friday Feature: Daughters of Simone

There are moments during wedding planning that simply take your breath away. One of them being the moment you  find “the dress.”  We were certainly short of breath when we stumbled across these super cute, but slightly unconventional wedding dresses.

Now that you’ve secured a man, and got a ring on that finger, it’s time to find a dress that is the perfect match too! With these vintage-inspired dresses designed by Daughters of Simone, you really can’t go wrong. Finally a designer taking our favorite fashion blasts from the past (60s & 70s!!) and translating those trends into wearable bridal attire.  The San Francisco based company designs wedding dresses that have a modern bohemian vibe, but are as timeless and treasurable as a family heirloom. This is one dress your daughter wouldn’t be embarrassed to later inherit!

Above are some of the latest designs from their 2014 collection, aptly called “Ritual Woman” (Hello Heart & Stevie Nicks!!). Our fave dresses include: Lu, Caterina, Dylan, and Cleo. Each dress is designed for a different type of woman in mind; from classic, to indie, rock n roll, country, or hippie, they all are unique. Be sure to check out their website for even more  wedding, and reception dresses. They are also stocked up on the best real vintage dresses a girl can find!

Adam & Joanna’s Wedding Film: We Call This Love

Just received the most amazing wedding film from Adam & Joanna’s big day shot by the uber talented We Call This Love team. Andre + Kimberly could not have captured the day more perfectly! We hope you enjoy!

Adam & Joanna’s Wedding!!

We are beyond thrilled to be featured on the fabulous blog, 100 Layer Cake, this morning! Seriously, the best! Adam & Joanna’s dreamy wedding captured by Jessica Claire was one of our faves this Spring. We loved the inspiration behind their big day and it was so fun seeing it come to life on the actual wedding day. Take a peek at the lovely pics below to see all of the fun details and romantic shots of the couple…

All of the vendors rocked this one- paper elements by Color Me Carla, florals by Isari, linens by La Tavola, rentals from Classic Party Rentals, delicious food from Border Grill. Big thanks to Jessica Claire for capturing the day so beautifully! We are so glad that it was featured today on 100LC!

Snapshot Love: Ashley & Danny

From the moment we laid eyes on these stunning engagement photos by the incredibly  talented Amy Lynn Photography we knew she had really captured the spirit of these two amazing people. As you can see this stunning couple can literally light up any room with their love of fun and for each other. We seriously can’t wait to see this same fun loving energy celebrated by their wonderful family and friends on their big day next week.

I mean really how can you not have a huge grin after looking at these gorgeous photos, this couple is just too cute! We are just beyond thrilled to be apart of Ashley & Danny’s bohemian seaside wedding at one of our favorite venues- The Scripps Seaside Forum. Keep an eye out for some sneak peeks on our Instagram.

The Big Day: Victoria & Ryan!

We just got back from quite possibly the most beautiful place we’ve ever been- Whistler, British Columbia! The fact that we not only got to go to this insanely gorgeous locale, but also to design & plan a wedding there was a dream come true.  When Victoria & Ryan first approached us they wanted a beach wedding and were looking at local spots in La Jolla for a summer 2014 date, so you can imagine our surprise and excitement when they let us know that they were changing scenery and moving the wedding up a whole year.

The wedding took place at North Arm Farm, which had the most breath taking mountain views. The couple loves rich, vibrant colors, so Celsia Florist incorporated bright hues to the bouquets, tablescape, and stunning arbor to pop against the natural scenery. We selected deep blues and aqua greens in the linens to complement the surrounding outdoors and to also make a splash in the barn that was used for the reception.  Whistler Cooks whipped up the most delicious and refreshing summer fare, while Ruckus Deluxe had the guests rocking late until the night.  We can’t wait to share the photos from Robin O’Neill, but in the meantime, you can take a peek at our instagram shots below!

Special thank you to Ashley from Spread Love Events for assisting us for the day. She is simply amazing!
