Sneak Peek: California Dreamin’

You know how we said we weren’t ready for summer? Well, we lied…we’ve just been harnessing all of that summer energy into our California love inspired shoot! We’re headed out the door to Bandy Canyon Ranch for some epic fun, but wanted to leave you with a looksy of what’s been inspiring us! Check our twitter feed for more sneaks too!
All the fabulousness is thanks to Casa de Perrin, Pitbulls & Posies, Root 75, and of course Swoon by Katie Photography! Love those ladies & man xoxo

Snapshot Love: Maya & Michael

These pictures have been burning up our inbox and we just couldn’t wait any longer to post them! Seriously, how ridiculously gorgeous are these two!? So excited to be a part of Maya & Michael’s wedding this fall at Ponte Winery- it is going to be such a fun and stylish affair! Just look at these super cute and creative shots that Min-D Photography captured for their Save-The-Dates!

Hello beautiful legs!

Love this last picture with the frame- how cool is that!? Maya, from Fresch Concepts, did the styling for these photos herself!

Maya is beyond creative. She described her vision for the big day as being inspired by Syrah Wine Parlor in San Diego! Perfect inspiration if you ask us. We simply can not wait for their whimsical wedding day!

Monday Morning Mix: With Stars Above

When the weather starts getting warm, my favorite thing to daydream about is all of the upcoming summer parties and weddings. Nothing quite like dining, dancing, and maybe even some kissing underneath the stars during that sweet summer weather. But don’t take it from me, let The King tell you all about it. Listen to Elvis’s “Such a Night” and try to keep yourself from imaging a summer fete filled with epic lighting, yummy cake, retro clad groomsmen, and some serious moonlight!

Friday Feature: Dior Suite St. Regis

It’s Friday, Friday gotta get down on Friday… Ok just kidding, but we are beyond happy its friday that we are doing a little happy dance and song in the office. We are especially thrilled because today marks one week until we are off to New York City, so we thought we would share with you our follow up friday feature of the Dior suite at the St. Regis New york. With views of Fifth Avenue and 55th Street, the Dior Suite is a one-bedroom suite which was inspired by the house’s Parisian ateliers.  The design includes their signature pale gray color, beautiful moldings, and French furniture found in Dior stores worldwide as well as framed Christian Dior sketches which hang in the living room. This is one chic suite we would love to slumber in…

Where do you like to eat and sleep while traipsing around New York?

Sneak Peek: Bubbles & Baubles

Beau & Arrow headquarters is buzzing with excitement this morning as our team gets ready to head out to our Exquisite Weddings Magazine photo shoot. We are beyond excited for this shoot and all of the wonderful vendors that are working on this project with us. One of those fabulous vendors may even be part of the inspiration for this shoot! Eeek!  Here’s a little sneak peek of the inspiration behind today’s set up…

Check back for the full photo shoot (maybe some more sneak peeks!) and all of the exciting details and fantastic vendors as well!

Monday Morning Mix: To The Sea

Have to admit, I’m not quite ready for full blown summer weather yet and don’t mind these gloomy beach days. They can be beautiful and relaxing in their own right. I created this black, white, and blush board while listening to Lykke Li’s version of Unchained Melody and was inspired by a dark and moody beach wedding setting- not your typical bash at the beach. Have a listen to Lykke’s take bel0w- it’s hauntingly gorgeous– and enjoy this not quite summer weather!

Friday Feature: Hey There, Cupcake!

TGIF has never been more appropriate to say! Phew, it has been a busy week at the B & A headquarters and we are thankful it’s Friday for more than one reason, but a biggie is that we are glad to feature another local vendor on our blog today! Boy, do we have a special treat for you readers with this one…..we are highlighting the wonderful (and tasty!) cake artistry that is Hey There, Cupcake!

{Photo by Sunday Romance}
Feast your eyes upon the first cake we ever spotted from Stevi, owner and cake designer extraodinaire at Hey There, Cupcake!  Yup, it was love at first sight. This “Tangled” inspired cake that was so perfectly conceptualized and executed had us hooked. We then went over to the Hey There, Cupcake! Facebook page immeadiately after and drooled over every intricate creation there as well…
Let me tell you, we would not mind getting one of these mini LV’s– too cute for words!
Tiffany box petit fours! We die! To be honest, we wanted to post every single cupcake and cake that has ever been created by HTC. They are all just too amazing.
We love featuring vendors we’ve collaborated with numerous times- since we can without a doubt tell you of their reliability and consistency of superb work! Below are some of the fun projects we had the pleasure of working with Stevi on.
The trefoil pattern and badge adorned Scout’s Honor cake-we were blown away when we saw this little trooper in person!
The drop dead gorgeous masterpiece for the Peace, Love, and Cake inspired photo shoot! Whenever we work with Stevi we feel limitless and free to think outside the box– she can really create anything you want. If you are looking for a cake that perfectly embodies the style of your wedding than Hey There, Cupcake! should be where you are heading! It will be all anyone talks about. And of course delicious-it’s a win-win!
Speaking of which they got voted “San Diego’s Best Cupcakes 2011” by the San Diego Union Tribune. We can vouch for that too! We drove up to L.A. with a box of her cupcakes and this beauty for the Utterly Engaged Leap Year Party and had to keep slapping each other’s hand out of the box. The mocha flavored buttercream smelled heavenly! The beautiful cake definitely helped our team score the coveted Editor’s Choice title at the event!
We spotted these black and white beauties on the HTC facebook page and couldn’t help but daydream about what she is whipping up for a project we are working together on next week! Hint, those colors will definitely be incorporated! Can’t wait to share the outcome and more creations of Stevi’s!

Snapshot Love: Brandon & Karen

We are beyond excited to be sharing one of our darling couples with you all today! After our first meeting with Brandon & Karen we knew two things; one they are madly in love with each other, and two they wanted a fabulous wedding which we are so excited to be a part of. We can barely wait for this sweet couple’s upcoming summer wedding at the stunning Bel Air Bay Club. Of course, we wouldn’t be sharing this gorgeous couple with you without these phenomenal photos shot by the talented Phoebe Joy Photography, who we are extremely excited to be working with. Take a look below and see why.
Keep an eye out for more of Brandon & Karen and their wedding in the upcoming months!

With Love, From Paris

For anyone that knows me they know that I am just a little bit obsessed with anything Paris (ok maybe more then just a little). Of course when you take Paris, add in a breath taking wedding and a phenomenal videographer you get me crying every time I watch this film. Videographer Jason Magbanua really captures every single genuine and important moment of each wedding he shoots, Jason says that his style of shooting is not directing events or moments but rather waiting for them to unfold naturally, I just love that! I highly recommend you all take a little time and watch this amazing film, I know its ten minutes but I promise once you watch, it feels like it was over so fast and  leaves you wanting more. I will be shocked if each of you does not get the chills while watching this exquisite Paris wedding of Stephanie and Chis, I hope you enjoy…

Friday Feature: Tiffany Suite St. Regis

Today’s friday feature is a two part feature that we will conclude next friday. Since I have a upcoming trip to New york at the end of the month (I’m so excited! ek!), I can’t seem to get the big apple off of my mind. In my search of new and fun things to do well in New York I came across one of the most decadent hotel suites I have ever seen. Designed for the St. Regis in conjunction with Design Director Emeritus of Tiffany & Co. with John Loring, the Tiffany Suite is 1,700 square feet in size and features subtle neutral colors with the signature Tiffany blue as an accent color throughout the suite. Unfortunately I don’t think I will be getting my Holly Golightly moment anytime soon with the room costing a mire $8,500 a night, I think my room at the Hudson will be just fine…

I would love to have that piece of jewelry art hanging on my wall!

I’d feel like I was in one of those beautiful tiffany blue boxes in this room.

I would love to hear about all of your favorite things to do while in New york?
