The Big Day: Victoria & Ryan!

We just got back from quite possibly the most beautiful place we’ve ever been- Whistler, British Columbia! The fact that we not only got to go to this insanely gorgeous locale, but also to design & plan a wedding there was a dream come true.  When Victoria & Ryan first approached us they wanted a beach wedding and were looking at local spots in La Jolla for a summer 2014 date, so you can imagine our surprise and excitement when they let us know that they were changing scenery and moving the wedding up a whole year.

Victoria & Ryan

The wedding took place at North Arm Farm, which had the most breath taking mountain views. The couple loves rich, vibrant colors, so Celsia Florist incorporated bright hues to the bouquets, tablescape, and stunning arbor to pop against the natural scenery. We selected deep blues and aqua greens in the linens to complement the surrounding outdoors and to also make a splash in the barn that was used for the reception.  Whistler Cooks whipped up the most delicious and refreshing summer fare, while Ruckus Deluxe had the guests rocking late until the night.  We can’t wait to share the photos from Robin O’Neill, but in the meantime, you can take a peek at our instagram shots below!

Special thank you to Ashley from Spread Love Events for assisting us for the day. She is simply amazing!

Are Tiaras the New Flower Crowns?

We’ve been seeing a new crop of dainty and darling tiaras taking place atop heads in high fashion wedding editorials and we want to know what you think of the trend. Would you rock a bejeweled crown or a tiny tiara to add a whimsical touch to your wedding look? We personally love the unique element it adds (there’s a tiara out there for all personalities!) and have rounded up our favorite crowning moments to draw inspiration from…

Having a ball with Bouts!

These days weddings are all about standing out, going against the grain, and pushing the envelope. One way to keep with tradition while standing out from the crowd of wedding guests is a lively Boutonniere. The perfect finishing touch to the quintessential wedding suite is a stunning poise pinned perfectly to your lapel. Bridal parties these days are getting a treat with a wide verity of funky and fun boutonniere’s rather than our parents boring old spray rose and babies breath. Below are some of our favorite out of the box bout beauties.
soft boutsBouts can still be soft and subtle while still standing out, you can do so by choosing a funky structured flower in a muted color palette. Or pairing a fluffy white ranunculus with some interesting greenery.

Nat bout

If your more into a natural look with a bit more of a masculine feel than dessert flowers are probably the bout for you. Succulents and cactus are some of the bests ways to create this look with a fun textured style.

color bout3Lastly a little pop of color never hurt any attire, pair a solid colored suite with a fun pop of red, pink, yellow, or orange and everyones eyes will be on you for the best dressed gent in the room.

What’s your favorite poise for a bout?
