Bridal Floral Wreath’s

Yes ladies, that’s right, flowers are no longer just for the bouquet and the tables you can also wear them! Although we do agree that you and your dress are the show stopper of the day, we absolutely love when our brides want to add a little more flair to their attire. You all know us, we would put flowers on anything and everything if we could. We have pulled together some of our absolute favorite floral wreaths that we would just die to adorn on top of our heads and we hope you feel the same. AMBER_DAVID_FORMALS__ciara richardson_photography_lifestyle_wedding_utah_220

What to Wear to a Fall Wedding: Under $100 Dress Challenge

Getting dressed  on any given day is already a pretty lengthy task if you’re anything like us.  Always trying to judge the weather for the rest of the day, deciding jeans or skirt, heels or flats, and the decision making is endless. So you can imagine our state of panic when attending a wedding (yes, sometimes we are guests too!) or a fabulous event. Here in Southern California we have just as many weddings in the Fall as we do in the Spring & Summer months and wanted to help make the task of pulling together the perfect outfit for an Autumn fete a little easier. We made sure none of the stylish dresses we pulled were over a $100 ( sometimes it’s nice to splurge on shoes, right!?) and used our favorite online retailers so your whole outfit is just a click away!

Finds from Modcloth: Evergreen looks youthful when accented with gold and palest coral-also a nice transition from Summer. Just top with a chic coat for outside receptions and you’re out the door!

Okay, we lied a little! Everything indeed is from Modcloth above, with the tiny exception of the super cute cuff which is from Forever 21!

Finds from Asos: For all out glam, always go with gold. Accessorize with eclectic accessories (chunky bracelets, whimsical head piece) to keep the look fresh and a nude bag to balance out the dark accents of the dress.

Finds from Zara: Cranberry, wine, and oxblood colors are everywhere this fall! Wear one of these deep red dresses and bring on the drama with high fashion add-ons (statement necklace, studded shoes, fringe adorned clutch)!

Finds from Forever 21: Love a look that works for all seasons. This deep ocean colored dress accented with more Spring-time shades (nude, blush, and rose gold) is the perfect balance for an early Fall wedding!

Finds from Ruche: Tend to lean toward the shorter dresses, can get the full range of dance moves going that way, but sometimes a Maxi is just more appropriate. Love this grape colored get-up turned edgy with wedges and mixed bangles!

Do you have any great go to online shops for fabulous dresses!? Do leave us a comment and share!

High Fashion Inspiration: Christian Louboutin

How could we not have a high fashion inspiration during one of the most sacred times in the wonderful world of fashion, New york city Fashion week. We have been keeping a close eye on all of the stunning 2013 collections that have been gracing the runways in New york and have been loving every bit of what we have seen. But our true designer sole mate is this week’s high fashion inspiration; Christian Louboutin. The French shoe creator, Louboutin has made his mark on the fashion world with his signature “Sammy red sole” and sky high sex kitten heels. Combining that sexy sleek style and the bold energy of the louboutin signature red, we have created one red hot wedding…

What did your wedding shoes look like? Did any of you where Christian louboutin’s?

High Fashion Inspiration: Anna Sui

Happy Wednesday Beaus! Today we’re serving you up some more designer inspiration for weddings & parties! This week it’s all about  mix-master Anna Sui. Just like Anna’s aesthetic, be daring with how you style your party and use glossy black accents everywhere you can. Black & white stripes and mixed patterns pair perfectly to achieve the eclectic, yet pulled together touch; very reminiscent of the looks always shown on her runway shows. Taking a cue from the designer’s branding, go Art Nouveau with your paper goods and use decorative touches and borders on your invites and escort cards. If you really wanna be a showstopping hostess, string these awesome diamond lights above the dining table to awe your guests. Bright flowers and macaroons add a pop of color & fun! The Sui girl is all about having a good time….

What do you think about black as a main wedding color? Love it or leave it!?

High Fashion Inspiration: Hermes

We are constantly pulling ideas and inspiration from any and all things in our daily lives. One of the biggest places that we are constantly pulling design elements from is the stunning world of fashion. I am a firm believer that the fashion world tends to bleed and blend in to all facets of life and design. I love to look to the newest fashion trends and colors to pull into the designs of our weddings and events. Every once and awhile i’ll be posting inspiration boards based on some of my favorite fashion designers. Today I pulled together a Parisian, Hermes inspired board for the most elegant fete. There is something about the Hermes burnt orange that has always made me swoon, combine that with some grand chandeliers and a few scrumptious macaroons and you have an event I would die to be at…

Friday Feature: Stone Cold Fox

It’s no secret that we at B & A love fashion and  judging by all of the questions that come pouring in asking us about clothes from shoots- all of our readers do too! We were so excited when we got to use pieces from Stone Cold Fox‘s amazing clothing line for our California Dreaming shoot and would love to share more of their killer looks that are perfect for laidback weddings, rehearsal dinner celebrations, your beachy bridesmaids, and really any occasion!

Stone Cold Fox first landed on our radar when we spotted this wedding where the bride donned a Stone Cold Fox creation for her big day. Not to mention the bride’s sister is one half of the Stone Cold Fox dream team, Cyd & Dallas.

The gorgeous bride below also rocked a SCF gown for her nuptials! Love how their dresses look modern & vintage all at the same time. And who can resist that lace back?

Some pieces we’re loving and think would look ahhhhmazing incorporated into the big day or a lover’s vacay…

Bridesmaids in black or white for a bohemian & effortlessly chic look!

Lovely lace creations perfect for honeymooning or a get away dress at the end of the night!

The Stone Cold Fox ladies just launched a new line…for home! How ridiculously cute of a gift would their lace bedding and pillow shams make for newlywed friends!? We’re all about adding some romance to our bed skirts!

Dying how dreamy that looks! Need to order those pillow shams now…..

Friday Feature: Bridal Gowns Under $1000

There are so many stunning bridal gowns our there these days, unfortunately most of them seem to cost a pretty penny. Although we do have all the respect and love in the world for our favorite couture bridal gown designers, we know that spending as much as a car costs on a gown for one day is not for everyone. That’s why we have found some magnificent budget friendly gowns that will make your guests swoon. Even though these dresses are a phenomenal bargain, they don’t disappoint when it comes to look and style. We think they even out shine many of the more expensive alternatives. Take a look and let us know if you think these dresses measure up to some of the couture gowns out there and if you would wear one of these bargain gowns.

Dress Your Best As A Guest…

It’s that time of year again when it seems like you are attending a wedding every single weekend! We know how you feel hehe. With that being said we know it becomes an endless task to find a fun, cute, summer outfit to wear to the numerous weddings that make up wedding season. One of our favorite things is when guests step up their outfits and really dress their best for these special summer occasions. I thought I would lend you lovely ladies a hand with a few dresses and styles that I would just love to see at some of our weddings.

You really can’t go wrong with pastel in the summertime, I just love how light and airy it looks but while still looking elegant and not like a beach cover up. Pair one of these dresses with a nude heel and your ready to strut your stuff down the aisle, well after the ceremony is over of course.

Patterns are always great to add a dash of fun to any wedding. Im especially loving the geometric and ikat type patterns for this summer, like the three dresses you can see above. How could you not have fun and party the night away in one of these stunning dresses.

Lace is a great go to for a summer wedding its light, simple and stunning, it can be dressed up or dressed down. I just love how lace always gives a more romantic soft feel to everything and what more could you want from a wedding ensemble than soft and romantic.
